I wonder what the issue was he was trying to speak about. From fragments it seems like something about some real property rights.
And we are complaining about Putin? This is something right out of KGB Russia. I can understand why one would not want a town counsel meeting delayed unduly. One would think they would have the offending party ejected but to escalate into a felony arrest is simply out of bounds in any democratic state.
You're right. I think they should have beat him to death, and shot his dog.
Thou shalt not touch The Magic-Costumed Enforcers of the American Police State...
Then some of the other peasants laugh about it?
The fat porker Barrage Balloon sissies in the Magic Blue Costumes pretending that the guy "obstructed" and "resisted" deserve to have their lying faces beaten in.
This country deserves to implode.
How much time should they allow at the township meeting for unscheduled speakers? They have 3 minutes. Should each speaker be permitted to speak as long as they wish?
Should each speaker instead be required to submit an application to be included in the schedule? Or is the open microphone for 3 minutes a good thing?
Should each speaker instead be required to submit an application to be included in the schedule?
According to his comment heard on the recording, he did request to speak for 15 minutes beforehand. Apparently they did not agree to his request.
“We’re taking you in sir... I’m afraid you’ve had too much to think.”
I’m glad he noted that he had 15 minutes worth of material when he had a 3 minute limit. When they denied his request, they should have told him HOW to get time at the next meeting for his entire presentation, and there should be a way to get that kind of time. Even if a busy city, there must be a way to get enough time to present an argument. Three minutes is barely enough for an announcement. I know it could cause meetings to drag on for forever, but that has to be the price paid for seeking the office in the first place.
If he resisted arrest, then he was wrong about that.
Watch the video.
He doesn’t appear to be violent.
I cannot believe he’s being charged with a felony. Wow.
He didn't do squat. The fat lying slabs of Blue Bacon pretended he was "resisting", so they could kidnap him.
You're next, peasant.

The lies just ooze out of the mouths of the donut blimps. I understand now why the German people accepted Hitler's regime. The only difference here is that we speak English...
He's only guilty of believing he owns the township's property ("his" land).
The Blue Donut Blimps just chanted the Magic Words:
"Stop resisting"
Once they say The Words, you're guilty, whether you were resisting or not.
If they had wanted to shoot him, they would have chanted:
"I feared for my life"
If he didn’t resist arrest, then they’re wrong.
A more effective method of keeping comments to 3 minutes would be to cut off the microphone.
Greetings Mr Ramsbotham...great name btw.
“I don’t think it was for political speech. I think it was for resisting the officers who tried to remove him once he had gone over his allotted time.”
Watch the video. The speaker might well be a reoccurring loudmouth at these meetings, but it was obviously a local inside plot to shut this guy up.....permanently. 3 officers and a sergeant just happened to be there? The chairs are nearly empty. The fat cop IMMEDIATELY starts bleating “Don’t resist!” BEFORE it was made clear they were arresting him.
Shadows of the infamous Waco armored assault that was “...not an assault.” or at least that is what the loudspeakers said as the tanks smashed the building down..., wait sorry...60 ton tracked recovery vehicles.
Back to Michigan.....
In the Declaration:
“In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.”
In the First Amendment:
Congress shall make no law respecting....the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
His petition was over his property rights.....using speech to defend what he thought were his rights.
1 tyrant 3,000 miles away is no worse than 3,000 tyrants 1 mile away.
Just saying. Peace brother.
Felony?
Does any body remember when this was a FREE COUNTRY! At 78 I can.
No, but he does appear to be resisting. That's what he was charged with, not for speaking. He's free to say anything he wants, but we all know there are restrictions placed on such things as media and venues.
Whether the charge was excessive is a subject for another debate.
That is resisting?
Really?
The way I see it, he pays for them and they can sit their asses there and listen to him. In the spirit of making sure everyone else gets their say I would simply ask that he speak last.
Amazing how easy it is to divert people from a point. He gets arrested for resisting arrest and everybody seems to think he got arrested for speaking. I try to point this out, and everybody assumes I'm defending the police. No wonder people are so easily propagandized.
