In May 2002, U.S. intelligence and military officials starting asking a pressing question to al Qaeda detainees who were being interrogated at foreign prisons and secret CIA and military facilities abroad. “Whom,” the officials asked, “would al Qaeda pick to lead the next big attack against U.S. targets?” Intelligence sources told U. S. News and World Reports that several of the detainees coughed up the same answer: “Jaffar al Tayyar.[ii]

It seems that every possible speculative theory is coming out of the woodwork.
the reason i posted this is because ive been hearing the idea about using this plane as a way to attack the US or Israel. but what interests me is that for over a decade the terrorists themselves have indicated this was their next big objective and a trained pilot is the one who is supposed to carry it out. and he is still on the loose. and likely in Pakistan.
Well, I have not yet speculated....lol

I expect we will know at some point, with all the assets being used to locate it.
One thing I might add Kit, is that if they had the fuel to reach Pakistan, and I think they would have been id’d as a unidentified bogey and that would have made some noise if they did, so i don’t think pakistan would have been a destination.
But if they had that kind of fuel and I don’t know how much they had, Somalia would be where I would go.
And screwing around with Facebook.
Seeing as there were mostly Chinese citizens on that plane. The narrative that it was Muzzie terrorists is ok. The last thing the sand monkeys want is a country of 1.3 billion people who violate human rights in ways these simpletons could only dream of, as their enemy.

Well they attacked the us and now we have a _resident that bows to mecca 5 times a day so they figure the only real threat now is China.
They believe that their moon rock death god is on their side and anything they do will be victorious, so yeah they will go ahead and piss off China.
I’d love to see Beijing decide to put an end to it and turn Mecca and Medina into glass ashtrays and repossess Saudi Arabia.
