During a March 13 town hall meeting at John Barry Elementary School in Meriden, Connecticut, Governor Dannel P. Malloy (D) told a gun owner that gun control proponents won and you lost.
Malloy made this statement in response to questions about the constitutionality of the gun laws he signed into law in 2013.

Yes, we have the righteousness of good history on our side. We should never forget this when doing our duty as “[T]the tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.” by Thomas Jefferson.
All laws which are repugnant to the Constitution are null and void. (Marbury vs.Madison, 1803.)
Every law consistent with the Constitution will have been made in pursuance of the powers granted by it. Every usurpation or law repugnant to it cannot have been made in pursuance of its powers. The latter will be nugatory and void. (Thomas Jefferson, Elliot, p. 4:187-88.)
There is no position which depends on clearer principles than that every act of a delegated authority, contrary to the commission under which it is exercised, is void. No legislative act, therefore, contrary to the Constitution, can be valid. (Alexander Hamilton, The Federalist Papers, #78.)
Clearly, a federal law which is contrary to the Constitution is no law at all; it is null, void, invalid. And a Supreme Court decision, which is not a law, has no supremacyeven if it is faithfully interpreting the Constitution. So it is the height of absurdity to claim that a Supreme Court decision that manifestly violates the Constitution is the supreme law of the land. (William Jasper)
He thinks we lost? {laughs} He thinks this is over? {laughs harder}
Yea, I noticed that after I pushed post and couldn’t go back and fix it after that.
Your point is well taken regarding giving our enemies ammo to say we are “stupid and illiterate.”
Of course it could also gall your opponents that in spite of silly little typos you managed to say it clearly and plainly.
Since there is “popular clamor” in CT for this, it looks like the storm clouds of civil war are gathering. Who’s going to flinch? In the meantime why not the power of public demonstrations. Go out with model guns bearing signs that “don’t you wish one of us had been at Sandy Hook?”
apparently Gov. Mallory flunked American History....
Had Enough Yet ?
You haf been odered to turn in ze veapons. If you fail to comply, as your MASTER, I vill follow MY oders und send heavily armed stormtroopers er officers to your home und remove zem by force. YOU HAF BEEN VARNED!!
Please elaborate!!!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
The moron is up for re-election.
I believe there will be a rather large number of highly motivated voters come campaign time...
And they AIN'T gonna be motivated for the good Mr. Malloy.
.
LOL! Who are you trying to convince?
WOW, my mother-in-law is one of them ((LOL))
I remember right about the time Kaylee, our daughters and I moved up here to NC there was another CT gov that was also "cut from the same cloth", I can't remember his name. I recall that night well cause I remember one of the girls was tumbling brass for me. This gov was signing some document and as he was he said, "this is for yada yada yada and this is for the NRA. But he said it with soooo much arrogance I couldn't believe it came out of a Governor's mouth. Anyway, our heart is there for you nutmeggers,God bless ya'll.
Sounds like the arrogant jerk dumped the snark once too often with that one.
Soapbox, jury box, ballot box, cartridge box. The Guv seems pretty happy at eliminating his first two chances.
Time for citizens of CT to vote a pro gun, pro business, pro freedom and pro lower tax candidates to Hartford. When will Bushnell Park have a rally to tell Dems and Malloy to get lost.
