Read the article you posted. The first sentence says:
“The satellite image of a plane flying over the Andaman Island....”
Assuming it did directly fly over the island from Malaysia, it would have been at night.
Ahhhh; the light dawns! THAT would explain why India's Andaman Islands air defense radar station wouldn't pick it up: it was at night, so the operator was in bed asleep! /sarc
Yes; I "know" (per a Daily Mail story) that they only operate that station intermittently, depending on "threat levels".
Given the direction of the shadow to the plane, can we tell anything about the direction the plane is supposedly flying?
