The basis of such hubris is not in order to create more stability and security in the USA...and is certainly NOT in American interests.
With each new addition to NATO the USA is COMMITTED to existential war to protect the borders and security of that nation.
Why is it in the interests of the American people to threaten existential war over Latvia or Georgia...or even Turkey for that matter? And, why would we even consider adding Ukraine?

It is 9:30pm in Lufkin, Texas. I just saw Obama on DISH 140 ESPN as he filled out his March Madness picks. With every box he filled in he gave commentary (without a teleprompter) about each teams best players and those who have been sidelined. He thinks it makes him cool. He thinks this behavior is endearing at a time of war, when Obamacare is devastating the economy, in a time when the unemployment rate among 10- 25 year olds is 16%. This bastard is vacuous and clueless. He is disgusting.

Yeah, I think it is rapidly becoming a case of “Useta wuz” in most respects. America “useta” have moral authority but it is absurd for us to claim moral authority now when we are rapidly destroying any shred of freedom left to the average citizen in the USA. The time is coming when the distinction will at best be one of which prison has the least awful food if we continue on the current path.
We have to come to grips with the fact that we live in a country where a man with ONE leg and ONE arm was shot dead by a cop who claimed the man had hemmed him in a corner and threatened his life...with a ballpoint pen...WHILE SEATED IN A WHEELCHAIR in A NURSING HOME . This is just one example of what goes on now. We have no moral authority any longer. Allowing gays to openly serve in the military and aborting babies does not give moral authority but quite the contrary regardless of what liberal doofuses may imagine.
