When I was younger I boxed golden gloves and full contact karate. When you go into a fight you have to have a plan. You have to know your weakness in order to protect yourself and you have to know your opponents weakness in order to know how to attack. You cannot just go in all angry and thrash about; you have to be cool and calm.

You don't understand your enemy; hell you don't even know who your allies are. All you know how to do is lose. All you know is surrender. Your angry because you see everything slipping away and your powerless to do anything about. You are a defeatist.

I'm a 2nd Dan in Taekwondo and studied Iado and Kenjustsu - a few tourneys under my belt, so I have a little understanding of what it means to 'fight back'.
You remind me of the guys who were so overconfident in their particular style and tactics, they saw no use for understanding their opponent beyond what they thought was needed in their own skill box. They always lost. More instructive was how these same types of people always got their lunch handed to them in a streetfight because they assumed their antagonists would fight fair or with honor.
