Ive always been one of those kids that made wings and jumped off the roof or made diving helmets that we aspirated with bicycle tire pumps.
As a kid in the mid-50s, I tied a red towel around my neck and dove off a sunroom roof, mimicking Superman. Didn’t break anything, but that taught me about gravity and flying. Like snorkeling and scuba diving too, but that ended when some sharks came to visit our dive site. Give me terra firma, anyday.
