I teach school— and have a feeling classrooms will be empty today.
Whenever there is an earthquake, no matter how small, parents line up at the gate to get their kids, sometimes keeping them out for days at a time.
I’m off to work, hope that’s the last of it for a while. Got everyone’s attention and was a good reminder that we sit on one of the most dangerous earthquake faults in the world here in Los Angeles.
Uh oh, I thought the dog and cat were playing under the table and my wife and kid didnt even feel it here in Lake View Terrace.
Then I took my kid to school in West Hills, 23 miles away, and was curious why there were no other cars in front of the school at 7:41 but didnt associate it with parents keeping their kids home.
