So, you'd rather have a bunch of stooges for corporate lobbyists that are so clueless they depend totally on their staff? And to whom do you think they'd be accountable, those who hold a job on the way out or the people?
I am seriously not trying to be rude or pick a fight, but I’m not getting your point. Are you saying that we should NOT have term limits because the “stooges” that are staying in Congress and the Senate for decades (building personal power & wealth over the years at the expense of America & becoming more & more isolated from their supposed constituents) will then become lobbyists?
I’ll take my chances with the stooges as lobbyists instead of voting in bad law and to rid us of the likes of John McCain, Mitch McConnell, Harry Reid, Pelosi, Boxer, et al. Better yet, along with term limits, bar permanently anyone from being a lobbyist who has been a Congresscritter or Senator. I’ve seen that suggested in other places and I like it.
And a stooge for corporate lobbyist that's been there for 30 plus years is so much better?
And to whom do you think they'd be accountable, those who hold a job on the way out or the people?
Do you honestly think any of those in Congress give a damn for the people in their district, other than those who fund their elections?
