Oh I see.
The picture is from 3/12, I can see your view using a total of four screen prints from the twitter feed to tomnod, the breaking out the conversation.
Thanks. Got a screenprint.

Passengers and luggage could be swept out... But that wouldn’t explain a floating fuselage.... This is good news in a very sad way...

Doing everything they can to save face, and not very successfully.

Greeks en route to Straits of Malacca. Aussies en route to Keeling Islands. Americans searching Indian Ocean. And what are the Malaysians doing, other than holding disjointed news briefings?Good question..

FWIW, Google Earth shows depth at the spot is 296 feet. Wingspan of 777-200 is 222 ft. On its side? Doesn’t make much sense, but who knows.
On an unrelated note, in the straits between Maui and Lanai, we stopped and jumped into the water. Dropped a quarter into the water and watched it drop. It was still visible after several minutes in the sunlight.

Generally airplanes are thin aluminum with honeycomb composites. They are made to be light. It’s possible things would float, even for a good while.

It makes sense if the cargo broke free and is lying on the port side, while the air is up at the starboard side.
(I may have that reversed) but the photo seems quite legit to me.

The "debris" on the water surface is floating away from the "airplane" with the wind current.

Agreed. I think we have our craft.
Now watch this go some crazy direction like salvage rights or something. Why hasn’t it been floated up and towed in?

Assuming this is the aircraft, it looks like the government has known the location since last Tuesday and wants to keep it a secret. Maybe there was a larger plot like 9/11 and they are investigating it.
Quote from Malaysian Chronicle:
[Royal Malaysian] Air Force chief Rodzali Daud is quoted as saying that based on military radar readings from its station in Butterworth, MH370 may have turned west after Kota Bahru and flown past the east coast and Kedah. The last time the plane was detected was near Pulau Perak, in the Straits of Malacca, at 2.40am, Berita Harian quoted Rodzali as saying.

Well, if various .govs are going to drag this out, I’d like to know the survivors of the victims are income-protected until death certificates are issued.

Have you noticed that the visible white “speckles are at the tops of the swells and there is nothing in the troughs? Microburst whitecaps...

Have you noticed wave tops favor surfers going somewhere, rather than the troughs? Never heard of a surfer ‘catching the trough’.
