But don't the oxygen masks come down automatically in the case of loss of cabin pressure? I believe the assumption is 'accidental' loss of cabin pressure. If no effort is made by the captain to bring the plane lower seems emergency oxygen would run out. Anyone know how much oxygen is carried for passengers? In minutes of use?

Wonder if it could have landed and refueled? Or somehow managed a refueling while in the air? Not likely I suppose, but neither is what has happened so far.
