I hate to say it but all indications point to the flight crew going high enough to deprive the passengers of oxygen, even if the masks deployed they do not last for more than ten minutes, it been proved already the planes stayed at an extreme altitude higher than just ten minutes, more than enough time for the oxygen generators to run out, hypoxia occurs within 2 minutes.
Take the plane to 43,000 feet and watch the passengers die from hypoxia, or at the very least, put a good scare into them.
