According to the Associated Press, a Malaysian government official has confirmed that investigators have concluded that one of the pilots or someone else with flying experience hijacked the missing Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flight MH370.
The official, who is involved in the investigation, says no motive has been established and it is not yet clear where the plane was taken.
AP is reporting that the official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorised to brief the media. The official said that hijacking was no longer a theory: It is conclusive.
The aircrafts communication with the ground was severed under one hour into its flight on March 8 from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.
It wasn’t the pilot or co-pilot, since the aircraft control was too erratic.
I guess Malaysian Airlines thought they were exempt from hijackings, since that only happens to infidels.
They may need to consider those intrusion-resistant cockpit doors after all. Not that it would help when your pilots invite infidel women up to the cockpit.
Several Indonesian airports were closed by the big earthquake in 2004 and never officially reopened. With a little work, the runways on one or more could be extended to 5000 feet to accommodate a 777.
(Putting on tinfoil hat now, but I hope the NSA is reading this!)
My first impression with the passports: intel agents probably from the MOIS. Just like every other country in the world: they use fake ID.
Let’s say for the moment, the plane was hijacked (could be).
How long of a runway would be needed to land a plane of that size? Could it “sight land” like a small plane or would there need to be air craft controllers and operational electronics in the plane? It is a pretty big plane.
The only thing I know about flying, is I get on the plane and the flight attendant brings me a drink.
Darn it, that sucks, was hoping for the lesser of evils, horrific failure of the plane/pilot error....Prayers for the innocent...may the evil doers on the plane face God’s wrath....hope it is over and not still to be seen what is next to happen...
2 Ukrainians and 1 Russian, even. Hmmmm.... Getting media attention away from Putin and his invasion of Ukraine?
I’ve wondered about the fake i.d.s.
I didn’t know that an Iranian citizen could leave the country at will.
So your supposition is as good as any that I can come up with.
According to this guy who was interviewed last night on Greta’s show(I think he worked for NTSB) he said that a 777 can easily land at an airstrip that is 3500 feet..he said that can be done easily..the problem is if they want to take off again, that would be a BIG problem, why..because you need a lot of fuel to take off and since this is such a small airspace by the time the plane takes off half the fuel supply would have been used, they would have to stop somewhere bigger and try taking off again
Thanks.
Even a 3500 foot landing strip is pretty long. If it were a matter of hijacking, even if the plane was just sitting there...looks to me like it would be in sight and SOMEONE (Not hollering...just don’t know HTML) would give a shout out.
>It wasnt the pilot or co-pilot, since the aircraft control was too erratic.
If you are referring to the “erratic” descent from 450 to 230, I have a theory about that.
For just one or two men, the pilot and/or copilot for example, to disable or kill all the passengers and crew without any of them resisting or trying to make cell phone calls, the most effective way would be depressurization at altitude. There are a lot of safeguards against that happening.
The cabin is pressurized by engine power.
I think the pilot, supplied with extra O2 from all the crew cabin masks and maybe some emergency bottles, took the plane as high as it could go for both altitude and lack of oxygen. Then the pilot cut the engines off. The pressure would inevitably leave the passenger cabin in a few minutes. The masks would drop but that O2 would last passengers less than 10 minutes if they got them on at all.
Meanwhile, the pilot let the plane glide erratically from 45000 feet to 23000 feet, which would take up to a half hour, long past the survival of any of the passengers.
I haven’t heard anyone else with that theory.
With some gps coordinates and skill you can program the flight computer to auto land on the strip.
In theory it could have been hijacked/hacked electronically and flown fully automatically to its destination. With all communications/inputs on the plane disabled and everyone going for the ride.
They wouldn’t have to cut the engines off. They would just have to turn off the packs.
I am thinking the co-pilot over took and probably killed the captain!!!
Some High Tech Defense contractors on board.
ABC news just announced that Malaysia says it was NOT an accident.
Eventually people will wake up to Islam. Not before a lot on non-muslims die. But eventually people will wake up to Islam.
There is one more dangerous person than a Muslim. The person telling you that a Muslim is not dangerous.
So there would have had to be electronics activated on the plane?
Could that not have been tracked or are the tracking devices separate? I know that the normal ones were disconnected but it seems like an auto pilot could be tracked.
I think that two of the Americans were pre- schoolers with Chinese parents plus the Texas IBM guy.
Landing is only half the picture, roughly 8000 ft. to take off, without a full fuel/people/cargo load.
If the plane really passed over that fishing boat-——were the nav. lights on?
Come on journalists, ask questions.
IIRC, the captain had a simulator in his home. He could have run all these problems on that until he found a workable plan. I’m not saying he did, just that until we know, many things are possible.
