‘While sitting in a deputy's cruiser, Lebrun asked the deputy if he was Haitian, and when the deputy said yes, Lebrun spoke to him in Creole saying: “I killed him because he took my photograph on March 2 and posted it on the Internet.”

In an interview at sheriff's office headquarters, Lebrun told the deputy: “They need to learn how to respect people. I have three kids in Haiti. I know they will suffer, but they will survive,” according to the report.

The deputy said while driving to headquarters for the interview, Lebrun repeatedly said Karaloukas had taken his photo without permission.’

Yes indeed, the photo machine will steal his soul. Haiti is a sewer of a nation with s-it for much of the population. Abolition of slavery was not an unmixed blessing.

My question is... Why do we let people like this into the country? Don’t we have any standards?

With a little luck this moron will get to ponder that ill-fated decision for the rest of his miserable life from the inside of a maximum security prison.

Where would we be without the glorious benefits of diversity mass importation of third worlders has given us?

This guy needs to get the electric chair. The rest of the imports need to be given life rafts home.

My guess is that the name Karaloukas means "Black Loukas" (Luke), from the Turkish word kara meaning "black." Maybe the family had an ancestor who was known as "Black Luke" to distinguish him from someone in the same village--not that the ancestor would have had any black African ancestry but that he had darker hair or a darker complexion than the other Luke.

Of course the Greeks don't have any fond memories of the centuries of Turkish rule, but it hasn't been possible to eradicate every last vestige. Plus a fair number of modern Greeks are from families which lived in Turkey until the 1920s.
