No one in the parade’s organization has said that a gay person can’t take part in the march. What they HAVE said is that gay activists are not welcome to engage in advocacy or tote political banners, because the parade isn’t about that. It’s about Irish heritage. No other group gets to turn the parade into a pet political cause, either.

Exactly right. Nobody gets to fly a "no new taxes!" or "end abortion" banner during St. Patrick's parade either (and no such groups would have the bad taste to try pulling such a stunt), so why should homosexual activists get to turn a day celebrating ethnic heritage into a political rally?

Jim K. can stuff it. I think his beer is overrated, anyway. Way too many bittering hops for my liking.

Here I have to disagree. If I have any complaint about their beer, is that it isn't hoppy enough. I never understood why flavorless dishwater like Bud Light define what "beer" should taste like to so many people.

Because it’s cheap and with today’s economy, one cannot be picky. Unlike some pricks who thumb their noses like they’re some beer experts, not a lot of people can afford booze nowadays...unless you’re on EBT.

Agreed! I hope the local (to Florida anyway) Oyster City beer will be good.
