I hope that "Pro-Gun Veteran" can cool things down. My suggestion is that he should write the legislation for the CT legislature to repeal this evil, unconstitutional, and dangerous law. That would cool things down better than anything else imaginable.
I am recently on a Rev War binge, I guess. It’s been 35 years since high school, and they can only gloss over the main topics of US History. I just read “1776” by David McCollough (sp?), and I’m now on “Liberty!” by Thomas Fleming. Both are good, but “Liberty!” has far more detail and more pics. It’s full-sized, and I grabbed it at a used bookstore for ONE DOLLAR...and it’s like new!
I won’t be able to hit all the battle sites, but certain trips are happening for sure. No turning back for me...can’t wait.
Funny how fast reality sets in on these morons when they realize the sheep are biting back.
Let the neighbors that don’t have guns know that cops don’t always get the address right and they hate barking dogs. Tell them they had better cower inside because if the raids come anyone outside in the immediate area could be an oopsie. Such will be life in a police state.
CT gov/emperor Malloy in effigy at gun rally.
“Threats of violence are not the way to go about things.”
The article had me til the last paragrash. Sadly if it wasn’t for threats of violence the Branford police dept would not be begging Cinque to OK a apology. There would be no apology. We all know that.
The PTB created the environment that made him think his attitude would be acceptable. How many more are there with the same attitude that just haven't expressed it publicly?
**We the People* ...how sweet it sounds. :)
I don't believe that the officer has been threatened. I think that's made up or an exaggeration by the police. All the remarks I've read have been conditional, IF this, THEN that. Such a remark is not a threat.
So, even more to your observation, the police are selective in who they protect, and why they offer their services on the taxpayer's dime. They protect their own. The rest of us are on our own.
One thing is that it was said that Cinque [our folk hero in this story] *knew* Peterson [dumb facebook cop] ....from some waybackintheday scenario. I’m curious to know how friendly they were. Could be from small town stuff and Cinque being a firefighter and Peterson being a LEO.
**How many more are there with the same attitude that just haven’t expressed it publicly? **
The discrete ones are keeping their mouths shut. In our immediate family I have a Chief of Police and a Assistant Chief of Police. Neither speak a word about this....both smart career cops. This worries me to no end....would they do or say anything to preserve their pensions?
Exactly.
He'd likely be wearing body armor, so the head and groin become viable targets. Just saying...
Waiting for the clue deprived to come in here and try to tell us that they still think cops are their friends. The ONLY difference between this cop and all of the other...? The level of enthusiasm for raiding your home to kill you. ALL of them will follow orders to raid the homes of gun owners. Their paychecks, benefits and pensions are way more important to them than your rights.
Double ought and/or rocksalt custom load..
For those “get the point across” moments.
**Their paychecks, benefits and pensions are way more important to them than your rights.**
Remember ....*they need to go home at night*.
One thing to get a point across, I guess, To knock down a threat, I’d recommend rifled slugs. Armor or no, it’s gonna hurt.
Hurt like the furies.
Wonder if adding pepper to it somehow would work.
And if you don’t have slugs, you can “make” slugs by spiral scoring the casing of a birdshot/buckshot shell.
We don't need to make enemies out of police officers. We need to engage them with dialog to educate them, while toning down the rhetoric. That is how we win.
The biggest lesson this taught us is to be vigilant, and to voice outrage. On to the next battle. If we can win in liberal Connecticut, we can win anywhere. Except California, New York, and Massachusetts.
