In that part of the world the CIA had clandestine air strips for secrete missions against North Vietnam and in Cambodia. Think Air America. some of those strips would be long enough to handle the plane.

There are places in the world where that could happen. The hard part is getting the 777 back into the air. Methinks they require more delicate care and feeding than your average aircraft.

Unless there is a way to strip out all the high-tech gear and just do seat-of-the-pants flying. What a rush that would be in an 777.
