What “made America great” is free enterprise, which Obama calls the enemy. American liberals have taken the position that government jobs drive the economy when it’s actually a drain on the economy. There is no convincing them of that, however, no matter how bad it gets. Socialists and communists refuse to look at the real world, preferring their naive idealism instead.

Every, and I mean every Government employee, be it a politician, clerk at the courthouse, DMV worker, teacher, cop or a marketing person at a redevelopment agency, fireman or park ranger are 100% convinced they are useful, necessary and are underpaid. Even the cops and firemen, who make six-figures for life, and are necessary, are always lobbying for more money, more benefits, earlier retirements and will literally shut down cities to keep the un-earned pension cash flowing.

I asked one of my college buddies, who works at a Federal agency, while he complained about the Sequester...about where his money comes from. He said, “I pay taxes” and I said “how much?” He replied, “30%” and I said, “so the Private Sector pays the other 70%”

The problem with most Government is that 75% is not needed at all. We need cops, firemen, teachers, courts, jails and a military. Government has grown so large and the dependence is so great, the makers are overrun.

The correction will be sudden, and it will be awful. The Dust Bowl and Depression will seem like Christmas morning.
