Was Jolly supported by the GOPe at all?

My understanding that this was a race where the GOPe came in and did what they wanted despite being in conflict with the local candidate. This should have been a much bigger blowout, but it was a poor campaign because of the conflicts.

I think the GOPe goes out of its way to be a stumbling block when they don’t get their man.

They can’t have the TEA party look good, after all...

In NYState Carl Paladino kicked little Ricky Lazio so hard in the balls he has not been heard of since... (like 67% win in the primary0

Then they went on to lose in a GOP tidal wave year (2010)
They gave Carl only superficial support, and so we got Cuomo- the many who set the timer on the Housing Meltdown.
