Capote was a smart guy, despite his “proclivities”. Never attended school. we named our two dogs, "Truman Capote" and "Harper Lee," after the two literary pals... :)

I had a professor from Monroeville, Alabama who was kin to Truman. He would make fun of the way Truman talked.
I always thought Harper Lee was kin to Capote but learned here they were just friends and neighbors.
