And Goobner Hickenlooper just gave away the principal commuting route between Boulder and Denver to an Australian outfit to do with pretty much what they please for 50 years, up to and including $28.00 round-trip tolls along the 20 mile route on U.S. 36 between Boulder and Denver, with side benefits like increasing HOV lane occupancy to 3 people in a car to use it, and anti-compete clauses preventing the state from improving nearby highways that might siphon a toll user or two from the Australian’s shiny new highway. Don’t think the ultra-lib Dem voters are going to be none too happy about what their beloved Democrats have been doing.
I’m amazed they can do that with a US highway. A state highway sure, but it seems like the US DOT would have something to say about privatizing a highway they paid for.
Actually, they are pleased, all in the named of Rocky Mountain Spotted Socialism.
