The March 11 special election to see who takes Floridas 13th Congressional district has become ground zero on a single issue Obamacare and may give a preview of what the 2014 midterm elections in November.
David Jolly, the political newcomer who is taking on Democrat Alex Sink, appeared on Your World Monday and discussed the race withFox News host Neil Cavuto. He reminded Cavuto that President Obama took the district in 2012, so it all comes down to the presidents signature piece of legislation.

Election Results here, Joe and Leni?
Any FReepers on the ground there? How are we doing?
With friends like jeb, well, you know the rest. (sigh)
Without the Libertarian in this race I sense Jolly wins. Sink not a solid D candidate but solid enough to perhaps steal this one. Whoever wins must run again in Nov. It’s a different game then. DNCC dumped lots of $ here for midterm bragging rights. Jolly will either pull this out by a whisker or lose it the same way. No landslide here.
One special election isn’t going to tell us anything.
David feels Jolly, while Alex appears to Sink.
I heard this morning that there were about 2% more Republican early ballots than Dems, for what that’s worth. The Libertarian candidate will siphon some off, but not sure how much. He’s open borders, so I can’t vote for him. I’m in the normal situation of holding my nose again and voting Republican. Alex Sink reminds me of an old librarian shushing everyone. Forget that.
Republican David Jolly was decesaed Rep. Bill Young’s aide and heir apparant.
Democrat Alx Sink is one of those democrats who just keep running for any office up for grabs in hope that she will eventually stumble onto something she can win so she can get back on the government teat.
How many seats did the Demonuts win right before the 2010 slaughter ?
I agree with IM.
However, I recall a recent FR thread regarding Jolly being a mediocre candidate, propped up by RINO money - but basically a sacrificial goat from the GOPe, conceding the seat to the Leftists.
Jolly should have run ads, Sink’s doesn’t want to represent you, she doesn’t care about your issues, she’s job hunting.
Then list everything she’s run for.
2006 - FL CFO;
2010 - FL Governor;
Sink is carpet-bagging into the district, having only established residency after the election kicked up.
FL law only says you need to be a STATE resident, but the unspoken custom is, you reside in the district that elects you.
Pro-Obamacare. Pro-homosexual adoption. Lifelong Leftist.

Live Thread!?
And the polls have apparently closed.
Sink 48.6%
Jolly 46.3%
And the Libertine candidate has 5.1%, which as planned is just enough to throw the election to the leftist.
Another candidate for Obama’s slaughterhouse. In other words , he is just another useless eater. To be done away with as soon as his usefulness is over.
