The late Sam Francis defined this sort of thing as 'anarcho-tyranny.

The following quote from Wikipedia is an accurate description of what this man is being subjected to and what the mostly white middle class is being targeted with.

Samuel Francis argued that the problems of managerial state extend to issues of crime and justice. In 1992, he introduced the word “anarcho-tyranny” into the paleocon vocabulary. He once defined it this way: “we refuse to control real criminals (that's the anarchy) so we control the innocent (that's the tyranny).” Francis argued that this situation extends across the U.S. and Europe. While the government functions normally, violent crime remains a constant, creating a climate of fear (anarchy). He says that “laws that are supposed to protect ordinary citizens against ordinary criminals” routinely go unenforced, even though the state is “perfectly capable” of doing so. While this problem rages on, government elites concentrate their interests on law-abiding citizens. In fact, Middle America winds up on the receiving end of both anarchy and tyranny.

Spot on regarding the anarch-tyranny reference. Pournelle has referenced that frequently over the years in his blog.

The judges need to be named and added to an “enemies of the Constitution” list.

I hope the kid hires the junk-yard-attack-dog-meanest lawyer in Ohio and, literally, sues everyone in sight who GROSSLY VIOLATED his Constitutional Rights!

Somewhere, somehow, someway, we have got to put a stop to the police state!

I carried a pocket knife just about every day of my school career (still carry one every day BTW). I wasn’t the only one either. Most boys did. There were plenty of fights in school, yet no one ever thought about pulling out a pocket knife to stab someone.

I may sound like an old fuddy duddy, but between this type of stuff and video games I am so glad I am not growing up today.

After so many of these ridiculous incidents WHY HAVENT ANY REPUBS PROPOSED LEGISLATION TO PREVENT THIS?

Who know my Jr High School was training me to be a felon when the Mechanical Drawing class required a sharp pocket knife to trim wooden drafting pencils and a box of single edged razor blades to scrape India ink blobs from the drawing.

Then again, that teacher did pack a snub nose revolver on his hip.

And ruling pens were drafting instruments and not the school administrative offices.

“We charge [people] with everything that we feel they are guilty of, and in this case, he is guilty of a felony,” said Ashtabula County assistant prosecutor Harold Specht in a statement.

Fortunately for you sir stupidity is not s crime!

The defense attorney should get the case dismissed for that statement for the press.

Form a PAC and recall the prosecutor and either the sheriff or police chief's boss (mayor/Council etc).

Time to stop putting up with this and making the jobs of these bureaucraps a living HELL.

Governor Kasich needs to pardon this person immediately!

Republican governors can put a real crimp in their evil by instantly pardoning all of these cases of a good student attacked by the liberal machine.

Next, that school and prosecutor’s office should have their budget slashed.
