There’s no such thing as a Maryland liberal. Terms like “California liberal” or “Massachusetts liberal” are well known (and, depending on whom you ask, pejorative) terms in the American political lexicon. But “Maryland liberal”? Not so much. It sounds clunky and sort of hilarious. This could all change if Maryland decides to veer left and elect Heather Mizeur, a wonky, pro-pot married lesbian, as governor.

This is not strange at all...If you are a republican and do not make ANY waves about homosexuality, you still wont be elected against a gay worshiping democrat for that matter...

It is just going to take a significant purge of those types now, and put in Constitutional originalists, moral, virtuous people into office to correct this nonsense...
Until people (the base) get off their asses and participate in the election process, the democrats are in the drivers seat dropping their voters off at the polls...
Conservatives are not doing that...Much less the establishment feckless republicans we have in office these days...
We have very inept outreach and databases with support volunteers to manage voter turnout, and other outreach activities...
Mainly because conservatives really work for a living and do not have much time to devote to such political support activities to increase these factors...

What? it's not already a laboratory of liberalism???? Despite the one-term break provided by Ehrlich, the state is essentially one-party and has been so for decades (how's that working out for Baltimore and PG County???).

That’s exactly what one of my relatives says about Alabama. “Tell ‘em we’re all gun-totin’ redneck good ole boys down here.” They like they’re little slice of heaven and don’t want any liberal outsiders messing it up. lol
