Yes, you can challenge anything you want subject to the website owners rules/restrictions/whims. But that sword cuts both ways.
As for baggage, I absolutely carry some. The worst being that I get very bored, very quickly with self righteous zealots who have little to offer in the way of dialogue other than attack.
