Then just keep Daylight Savings Time permanent. Forget about Standard Time.

That will keep more daylight at the end of the day, where we need it. Dark morning, we can deal with.

Probably should start some marches .... say like the “March Against DST”. Have children skip classes and march around the school for the “March Against DST”. Start fund raising and convert the hordes of global warming zealots to start organizing and propaganda campaigns. Yes America, rise up against the tyranny of time.

Put in a 5000K light in your bed lamp. Turn it on in the morning while you still feel sleepy!

The bright white light will bring you awake within a short while. Great for early morning fatigue.

Having taken many long east/west flights in my day and,as a result, having experienced serious jet lag in my day I can guarantee that a 1 hour clock change twice a year will,at worst, cause very minor difficulty for a day or two.

“There have been studies that have shown there are more workplace accidents, more driving accidents after the switch to Daylight Saving Time. There’s even studies that show there are more heart attacks right..."

That's a no-brainer. Having to get up and go to work or about your business when it's pitch dark and you're still groggy will make accidents more likely.

“I hate it immensely”. As I, also, hate it immensely. Neighbors mow lawns 7:00 - 8:30 PM. Noise during our wind down relax hours is irritating. The peace of darkness after 9:00 PM.

I agree. Not only does it upset your equilibrium and give you jet lag for at least a week or three, but all that added daylight also causes cows to go dry and corn to burn in the field. AND it is a major contributor to global warming. Just too much daylight.

How about a month each time change. Although sleeping later is easier.

And what about the kiddos? And the idiots in the public school system do the state standardized testing at the same time as the time change.

***an internal clock that regulates our 24-hour cycle.**

I have read that it regulates a 25 hour cycle, not 24. I spent 32 years working in a plant as a reverse 8 hour rotating shift worker. It was hell. When it went to a forward 8 hour rotating shift, much better. When they changed from an 8 hour rotating shift to a 12 hour rotating shift I decided to bail out as I would not be alive today if I had stayed.

It doesn’t bother me now that I don’t have to get up. But I do need to re-set my clock.

Nonsense.

A one hour time change at the start or end of DST will impact a person’s health as much as driving across the Alabama-Georgia state line and having to adjust your watch.

My ex-bosses old secretary used to show up an hour late for work twice a year at time change. Once I commented to him that she should show up an hour early one of those times. He grinned and said she had been using that excuse for years, he didn’t care.

I’m with you. Time for this stupidity to end.

A week later I will find the last clock that needs to have the time changed.
