A Cruz-Paul ticket would be a winner.

considering Rand Pauls huge win of the CPAC strawpoll, did he inherit some of his dads poll packers?

If he brings too much of Dads luggage along, he’s gonna lose a lot of possible voters

This is all just fun and games at this point.

The GOP still controls the machinery of fundraising and determines where the big money gets spent. I’ll say it again - the only way Cruz, Paul, or anyone else outside the ruling class elite ranks stands a chance is to win on their own merit, and that means each and every one of us has to stop participating in the circular firing squad and seeking the perfect candidate, and instead support the Buckley Rule, e.g. the “most conservative candidate who can win.”

It’s going to be far easier to determine who that candidate is if we work hard in the primaries and coalesce behind a front-runner early than if we have a repeat of 2012. And as tempting as it is to talk about a third party, any objective analysis says it’s going to take multiple election cycles for a third party candidate to be able to win, and while that strength is being built, they will splinter the vote in favor of the Democrats.

If you took Sarah’s name off the list, I bet Cruz would have been the winner.

I voted for Sarah, but Cruz and even Paul would be OK.

There should have been Hell No! buttons for Chris Christie, Paul Ryan and Jeb Bush.

Curious that Scott Walker didn’t make the list.

Simple. We exclude the grassroots from the nomination process.

Anything that smacks the GOP elite hard is a good thing. The only question is, and the only question that matters at all is ... what will happen during the 2016 Primaries?

Teh Paul and Cruz votes add up to a solid majority. Add the Palin people and you have about 2/3 of the vote. (With Santorum included, they’re clearly over 2/3.)

Unfortunately, as in 2012, that 2/3 is likely to be split — which is why it’s essential for more than one RINO liberal to be in the field. Otherwise, they win the nomination the way Romney did.

We cannot let that happen.

The Drudge Poll should have included Dr. Ben Carson. Dr. Carson could be VP to President Cruz and together they could drain the health care swamp that will be engulfing the US in 2016.

Notice how the MSM want to marginalize or ignore Ted Cruz because they are scared absolutely poopless of a principled and brilliant orator in multiple languages. Dr. Carson is the stuff of legends (and a TV movie).

The conservatives in the primaries will split the votes, and dems crossing over in open primaries will vote for Bush or Christie. Sorry: the conservatives lose again.

Open primaries are the death of conservatives.

When Christine O'Donnell defeated the RINO in the Delaware Primary, Tokyo Rove went ballistic and his best to get her defeated. He would rather have DEMOCRAP in the Senate.

Likewise the NJ Capo would rather have DEMOCRAP Booker in the Senate than Steve Lonergan!

The other worthies in that group are Sarah Palin, and Rick Perry.

I thought Rand Paul did very well on Fox News Sunday and he was adept in answering some loaded questions. I like his non-interventionist stance about Ukraine. GOP don’t get us into WW3.

while Tennessee Sen. Rand Paul was leading the survey,
