When pressed to address a recent interview with James OKeefe at a constituent meeting about how his legislation would strip voter protections from white voters, Rep. Sensenbrenner echoed sentiments of OKeefes progressive detractors. Mr. OKeefe is very good at cutting and pasting. He is very good at putting up misleading stuff, hes gotten in trouble repeatedly, Sensenbrenner said.====================This moron calls himself a Republican?

We have to get rid of the “Republicans” before we can do anything with Democrats.

Sensenbrenner is clearly past his onset of senility.

Yeah, that mean ol’ Tom DeLay saw to it that a black majority district was created in the state and Chris Bell (D) lost his House seat to a black Democrat. Well Chrissy Sissy couldn’t blame the black voters for his defeat so he lashed out at Tom DeLay with an ethics charge on his way (one that has since been overturned, despite the stacked Austin jury).

I will NEVER understand why ANY Republican would use Democrat talking points against another Republican. McCain, Brewer (in AZ), now Sensenbrenner. Does the name Ronald Reagan mean ANYTHING to these turncoats??

Rep. Sensenbrenners assertion that Texas is one of the worst involves sporadic instances of counties or voting jurisdictions not having adequate supply of foreign language ballots for an election. Not my problem. Ballot initiatives are language specific and can be litigated in court. When you have 5 translations of "the law", you have no law.

Why should anyone who can’t speak English be allowed to vote?

With electronic ballot boxes, the “number of ballots” available in each language becomes a moot issue.

And "Sham-Wow!" And "Wiss-CAN-Sin" - as a State - has a notorious, well-earned, and apparently totally unconscious
bigotry against people in the South.
Here's why Phil Gramm couldn't win the New Hampshire primary in 1996, because it's an acceptable prejudice, in parts of the Union, to hate southern accents, whether they come out of the mouths of whites or blacks.

For the most part, Sensenbrenner gets it right. This however, is just stupid.
