Aircraft doors often contain the evac slides and the bottles to inflate them.

Yup. Plastic, paper etc in plane's interiors is lighter than water and will float if not secured to something heavy. Just a matter of time until all sorts of light weight material is on the surface.

“A government is just a reflection of the people that create it. Los Angeles has a majority Third world population. A Third world people can’t create or maintain First World institutions like an honest, efficient government.”

Used to work for a company that makes Nomex Honeycomb material. All the interior A/C panels are made of Tedlar/Nomex Honeycomb because it’s extremely light and since it’s a closed cell structure it floats.
