Yes.
But they don’t see it that way, willfully.
Exactly the same way a “junky” refuses to give up the junk until they get gobsmacked by reality, or die.
I don’t see this going any other way.
Either the people will passively roll over, or things will come to a head due to continued belligerence by government and something snaps.
Then, come the snap, either the government eventually realizes this is wrong, or the people end up in government bondage.
The answer if any will not come from politicians. It will come from evangelists.
And I believe the new American evangelism won’t look a lot like the old. The old assumed people were churched enough to know the lingo. Now it will be like introducing completely strange and new concepts.
