I have been thinking the exact same thing since the beginning. You would think there would be some ships at sea or other aircraft that might have seen something.

Vietnam, a lot of the world is fairly dark at night, it's not like USA or Europe. There can be a lot of dark out there and out in the ocean. Japan is certainly lit up.

Lots of airplane accidents were not witnessed directly by anyone. It’s amazing but not odd.
