A Malaysia Airlines flight carrying 239 people has lost contact with air traffic control and was still missing two hours after it was supposed to have landed in Beijing, the airline said Saturday morning.
The airline told NBC News that a search-and-rescue mission was under way but said it had no further information.
The flight from Kuala Lumpur, carrying 227 passengers, including two infants, and 12 crew members, had been scheduled to land at 6:30 a.m. in Beijing (5:30 p.m. ET Friday).
any word on the press conference that was supposed to start a half hour ago?
Didn’t a bunch of those bankers leave notes in their apartments?
David Burke was the disgruntled employee’s name. There was no note.
They like to show it off. Hiding it so it doesn’t make a splash is not Moslem style.
according to this a PSA plane had a mid-air collision with a Cessna: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PSA_Flight_182
The only thing I consider is a terrorist attack on China would get a no holds barred response. The Chinese don’t have political correctness to keep them in check. The Chinese officials will finance Muslim terrorists and let them do their thing on others but they sure don’t want them around.
My guess is Chinese aircraft parts chickens finally coming home to roost.
The news conference is going on right now just the media isn’t showing it for some reason..they are still trying to find the plane(Its already daytime over there dont understand why they cant find it) was supposed to land in Beijing at 6:30AM, families are at the airport waiting for news, the look on their faces, just terrible, the not knowing
I sure wouldn’t want to be on that flight, at 35,000ft
and 500 mph. Maybe a window blow out might be survivable
but I wouldn’t want to be on the ride down to breathable
air. Zooooow!
@Kudsia_Kahar: Pilot Capt Zahari, 53, has over 18,300 flight hours, 1st officer Farid Abdul Amin, 27 has over 2,700 flight hours. Focus is search & rescue.
I bet she was shocked...
Of course that’s what television does nowadays...Anytime an event occurs where the cause is yet to be established...That and they’ll show the same pics/video/interviews over and over until their entire audience is asleep or throwing things at the screen...
I remember that crash clearly because a friend of mine, Ray Thompson, was the PSA executive shot first by the disgruntled employee. The pilots were then murdered.
Ray was a great guy.
Prayers up for the passengers and families of today’s incident. Seems likely terrorism is involved and that it is related to the recent knife attacks in China.
154 Chinese, 38 Malaysians, 12 Indonesians, 7 Australians, 4 Americans, 1 Russian among 227 passengers
Confirmed 4 Americans on board one of which is an infant according to NBC News who heard the press conference.
Or sitting next to the window.
I don’t think the typical manpad can reach that
high.
Posted above the official nationality list
154 Chinese, 38 Malaysians, 12 Indonesians, 7 Australians, 4 Americans, 1 Russian among 227 passengers
very sad, condolences to the families(Since this doesnt look good at all)
Post of the day...
i looked it up... he wrote a note on an airsickness bag... they found the bag... it was written to his supervisor who was also on the plane...
THIS! RT “@cctvnews: #Breaking: Vietnamese rescue official says missing Malaysian plane’s signal detected.(Xinhua)” #MH370
If it came apart at altitude, the debris field
would be huge and scattered, maybe tough to see
from the air.
Prayers for their familes.
