President Obama spoke about respect when talking about Aretha Franklins famed RESPECT song Thursday night at the White House, but he clearly failed to show her that same respect when he spelt the name of her hit song wrong.
The White House hosted soul singers for a concert, including Aretha Franklin, who performed at the Presidents 2009 Inauguration, Patti LaBelle, and Ariana Grande.
President Obama told the crowd, When Aretha first told us what R-S-P-E-C-T meant to her
The crowd roared in laughter before allowing the President to finish his introduction.

Good point. Also, who ever is typing up sissy Mary’s speeches can’t spell. You would think that the smartest guy in the world would hire someone who could spell.
Remember when he running the first time, he spent some time trying to wean himself off the teleprompter? Couldn’t even do that.
Rush also mentioned that barry is very skilled at reading what has been typed for him, but he cannot speak without it.
What a resume enhancer.
I think we’re making too much of this—sounds more like omission than commission.
That party must have tuckered him out, he off for another vacation—and even that’s no longer newsworthy. What might be: the collective sigh of relief that rises from the country whenever he takes off.
R-S-P-E-C-T pretty much sums up how Dems treat all women,,,
RE: I think were making too much of thissounds more like omission than commission.
Yeah, but who’s making so much of Sarah Palin’s flub and calling her stupid when she said in an interview:
“But obviously, we’ve got to stand with our North Korean allies.”
She obviously meant South Korea but made a mistake.
The MSM was all over it implying she doesn’t know who our real allies are
( NOTE TO THE PRESS: South Korea didn’t even make a peep ).
The reason he can’t spell it is because he only listened to white music - or Hawaiian or Indonesian - until he was old enough to decide to be An African American so he never memorized the song. There is no black American nor precious few whites of his age who would mess up on that song because it’s engraved in our memories.
Yes, Barack Hussein Obama, mmm mmm mmm, has failed the black test!!!
No.....really......thats how they spell respect at Harvard.
Or maybe Kenya?
The media is in the business of protecting their own. This stupid statement will never be broadcast to the folks.
We shouldn’t be so hard on Obama. When my granddaughter counts to ten, sometimes she skips seven.
Like Obama she has the mind of a two year old.
The only difference is that my granddaughter IS two years old.
After being asked to spell the word respect, The President decided to use his one call a Friend.
The Smartest Man In The Room strikes again.
Billy Ayers wasn’t around to do the grammar and spelling. Think of what this illiterate man means about the Harvard Law Revue!
If ONLY this was his worst mistake!!!!
I’ll bet Barry knows how to spell this: R...E...G...G...I...E... R...E...G...G...I...E... R...E...G...G...I...E...! Hussein likes these Reggie lovin’ words by Aretha also: “Ohh, your kisses, sweeter than honey and guess what? so is my money, all I want for you to do for me is to give it to me when you get home, yeah baby, whip it to me when you get home”!! R...E...G...G...I...E!!!!!
I think he has been ridiculed more than Dan Quayle & for good reason. It just wasn’t publicized as much by the media.
No big deal. He just didn’t say the apostrophe in R’SPECT.
He must of ated an potatoe for breakfast!
But Bush was a dummy. Right.
Jug Ears was probably sloshed....early. He might be feeling down due to Vlad Putin totally outclassing him. He feels bad that millions more now know he is a puffed up fraud. An incompetent boob.
Summary: Socialism sucks so blame Barry Soetero the university theoretician
This is entirely forgivable since English is not His Excellency’s native language.
