Again, what NASA does publicly is only a small part of the story. IMO, they have a huge classified role in space weaponry. Many missions are no doubt a cover for weapons research and maintenance.

I'm against nearly all aspects of big government but military is necessary to defend freedom against the power of vast collectivist armies and superweapons.

Also, despite the politics and corruption, we managed to follow and even touch comets in several missions. We are getting better at landing and operating robotics on distant bodies. These skills are crucial to defend humanity from space objects.

Guns should be in the hands of the people but what can they do against orbital weapons and nukes? What can individuals do against planet-killing space rocks?

You need massive collectivist programs to get the resources to defend against such complex threats.

private contractors developing weapons systems for the military is different from a gov agency like NASA that does muslim outreach and global warming propaganda

your stupid NASA has just been around for 60 years or so.Somehow the USA(or the people here) survived without your stupid NASA for 200 years on this Continent and others thousands of years before that. there is a military . NASA is not the military( get it?). but it is another unaccountable collectivist government agency spending billions yearly for our "common good" as in the EPA , FDA, FEC, NASA, HUD,FCC etc/ : all this huge government and all these government agencies were NOT here 50 years ago and before that we actually ( the USA ) grew without building up unsustainable debt we are building up now.

1. step 1 create a fake crisis (example global warming)
2. repeatedly menace the population with the fake hogoblin(global warming will destroy the Earth)
3. so then the people will gladly accept their government masters to take over more of the economy or resources, power etc. to “save” us from global warming , "no healthcare" , and other fake crisis

even if the threat was real ( there aren't any) stupid unaccountable government woulnd’t work hard enough to actually take care of said threat if they even could. so it's 3 steps of faith you liberal/collectivists have to take:

1. you believe the fake threat is real
2. you actually believe that government agency can change anything even the weather, climate, comets, or solar system (comets etc) etc. ( lol gov can't even do education , housing nor hearlthcare look at gov schools, HUD, housing project, USSR, cuba, n korea, public va , pulic healthcare)
3.you actually believe 1 and 2 are true and then that 3 that the government morons will actually work their hardest to do what they said (no it's bait and switch usually anyway)
