Low cost justice!

Justice probably, but not necessarily low cost. I'm sure he was in the taxpayer supported ICU in the taxpayer supported Grady Hospital. I suspect the real costs of a patient in the ICU run around $7500 a day. Burn care costs more. More fluids etc. - say another $1000 a day. So roughly 30 days of ICU care times $8500 = somewhere around $255,000 of taxpayer money.

For comparison, how much does a trial cost? How much is each appeal? How much does it cost to house a prisoner for a year?

I still think the taxpayers came out ahead.
