How do we get Gowdy Issa’s job? Does Boehner have to be approached to do it? I am ignorant on committe assignments, etc.

Yes, Boehner is the puppet master behind everything, the lobbyist money, the committee assignments, the failure to enforce or appoint a special prosecutor.
There is a chain of command in the republican House and Boehner is at the head.
Issa apologized because he knows Boehner will come after him on it.
Issa will not throw Lerner in the Congressional jail because he knows Boehner will not allow it.
Boehner himself appears compromised either by powerful financiers and their power brokers on K Street, or Obama’s people and their Chicago Way tactics.
Someone knows who controls Boehner and so far they are not telling.
The first time I saw Gowdy I said to myself “Who is this guy,he’s terrific”.
The more I saw him,or read about him,the more I liked.
