Add “vacation-destroyer” to the list of unflattering barbs being hurled at Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The ongoing crisis between Ukraine and Russia has placed President Obama’s family vacation plans in jeopardy, according to a new report.
Obama and the First Lady were scheduled to head to Miami on Friday for an event focusing on education, Politico reported, and the couple’s daughters were planning to join them afterward for a weekend trip in the area.
But, due to the continuing international crisis sparked by Russia’s troops moving into Ukraine’s Crimean peninsula, the first family may have to cancel their trip.
“The President had planned to stay in South Florida with his family for the remainder of the weekend,” White House spokesman Josh Earnest told Politico. “However, it is possible the President may return to the White House on Friday as events unfold in Ukraine.”
Tensions in Eastern Europe rose Thursday after Obama signed an executive order that gave the U.S. the ability to freeze the assets of certain Russian and Ukrainian individuals and companies.
Earlier in the day, Crimea’s parliament voted to join Russia, with the Moscow-backed government setting a referendum on the decision in 10 days.
I understand he’s heading to Ocean Reef in Key Largo. This is home to more CEOs than you can imagine. My son’s father-in-law has a place there and you don’t just move in ,you have to be invited. This is a place where 1% of the 1% live. My son is constantly amazed by the affluence of this enclave. Obama likes to run with the hoi polo. Too bad he and the family are just a bunch of grifters like the Clintons.

Contrast that to the outcry from the leftie/liberal/democrats who denounced Bush's annual vacation to his ranch in Crawford, Texas.

They will not stop. The latest estimates of all extracurricular activities for the entire family (WH parties, golf outings, children's 'salaries', vacations, etc., etc.) stands at $5 Billion. Not sure about you but I have a hard time even trying to wrap my head around that.
