Some on the left contend that it is former President George W. Bushs fault for invading Iraq and providing a precedent. I'm disappointed the NYT couldn't get this "Bush's Fault" nugget into the first paragraph.

That’s because they wanted the mystery of who to blame to reach a climax and then in one fell swoop reveal it as the fault of George W. Bush for invading Iraq and providing a precedent. Had they brought it up in the first paragraph then the story would have no need to go on beyond the one paragraph.
