No, you need protection from the extreme costs associated with serious illnesses and accidents by being able to insure those risks, and a couple of grand in a savings account to cover routine stuff. In the new America, though, the government will no longer allow you to exercise that option. They have a deep dislike for letting citizens do that whole “choice thing”.
I’d love to have that “protection,” but unfortunately it costs about 20% of our income. According to ZeroCare, the good news is we don’t have to pay the penalty. However, the bad news is....we still don’t have health insurance. So we’ll just have to take our chances until 2018 when we qualify for Medicare, if it’s still around then. FUBO.
