On the other hand, the hypothetical point that you were trying to make concerning the shock of gay people discovering that they are not in a gay-friendly state indicates that you are trying to manufacture a crisis on behalf of gay people imo.
So military families marriages only apply to when they are on base, and federal employees become married/unmarried/married/unmarried when they transfer, even though by federal law and most states, they have a legal marriage.
Also immigrants who are allowed in the country as married, can become unmarried by states?
Is this why a black Marine with a white wife isnt married in some states?
