depressing

Yes, for the Senate primary—but NOT for some of the other races. It may be premature, but the RINO David Dewhurst is WAY DOWN in the vote with Dan Patrick kicking the RINO’s butt. Let’s hope it stays that way.

Pollutico already has a check next to John Wayne McCornyn’s name with less than 8% in.

I do not get it. What is depressing?

No one raised any money in this race, there were NO commercials. John Wayne McCornyn has a HUGE amount of money on hand.

If you are depressed about this race, vote for someone else in November for Texas Senator

Annoying, and it does not bode well for the upcoming primaries. The RINOS have worked out a groundgame to get out their losers.

Why should anyone vote for the party that would allow John Cornyn? Cornyn worked for the Democrats while leading the the NRSC in 2010, funneling money to Specter and Crist. Unless the Republicans toss Cornyn out, voting for Republicans is worthless.

If Pete Sessions supports amnesty vote third party or let a rat take the seat. Then replace him in 2016. House seats are expendable. I think some of these guys pander like crazy if they have an audience. Lankford in OK is already regretting his Huckabee style pandering on immigration.

Dan Patrick shows the idiot consultants you just bash your opponents on amnesty and you make huge gains. You pick a fight with an affirmative action mayor and you win over the base.

The thing is if Cornyn got 49% he probably would have got enough of Vega’s diversity and amnesty vote to survive.

It is a good thing Louie Gohmert didn’t risk his seat on the house judiciary.

I guess the depression is that lots of “wishful thinking”, including self, appear to not overcome the Mother’s Milk of politics, MONEY and advertising.

It will be nice if Dwayne Stovall is able to see and use this as an opportunity to do better in some future election and be part of a patriot force along side Cruz in saving America.

Now maybe Cornyn can learn to dance with the one (s) that brung ya, instead of wimping out up against reid and nobama.

May our depression be lifted with Mitch being retired in Kentucky and dingy-harry’s subversion being thwarted in November and Cornyn being the next Majority Leader.

I gotta agree... While I was hopeful that Cornyn could be forced into a run off, let’s keep in mind that there really wasn’t any substantive coordinated effort by conservative groups and the Tea Party on a national level to endorse and coelesce behind any one of his primary opponents. Stockman may have had a shot had he actually hit the campaign trail hard in the weeks leading up to the election, but he inexplicably went AWOL! And let’s not forget that unseating an incumbent entrenched in a high ranking position within a party is an extremely rare feat to pull off.

I’ll be interested to see if Cornyn finishes the night below 60% because, let’s face it, that would NOT be a particularly impressive showing for a party leader in a primary election against much lesser known opponents. Having said all this, I would not be discouraged by the end result. In fact, I’m particularly looking forward to the upcoming battles in South Carolina, Georgia, and Kentucky to oust some of these RINO senators. Folks, the primary season is only just now getting started and we haven’t even BEGUN to fight. There’s really no need to be discouraged or depressed here! Overall, I think this has been a very strong night for conservatism in Texas!
