I agree. And the Freepers who admire Putin who apologize for his chauvinism in Ukraine are cut from the same cloth as those who admired Stalin and the Soviets. They’re the type people who psychologically are well suited as catamites in prison and have no real principles. Their fondness for Putin is like a teen who admires a pop rock star and never notice he’s a nerd with his shirt off. And they cannot accept that both Obama and Putin are wrong. A simple and simple minded answer is all they want or need. They’ve never read or understood a single idea why conservatives are different than liberals. They’re content to be the dumbed down conservatives.
I don’t think we admire Putin per-se so much as the abstract concept of having a President with actual testicles.
