Ukraine won't, much as the reoccupation of the Rhineland didn't send the world into WWII. Neither did the Anschluss or the Sudetenland occupation but eventually enough of these events will cause nations to bridle at the next bite at the apple. Will that be Khyrgyzstan? Or one of the Baltics?

I am so ignorant about this part of the world - probably because I opted out of Russian History Studies in college because I thought it was "too hard." Too many rivers to memorize. All czars' philosophies had to be critiqued. All cities had to have original name verses their names after the war. Etc, etc, etc.
So, I probably have as much knowledge of Russia/Crimea as Obama.
I guess all of the "stans" should be in preparation for Putin.
