For a second time, a Texas judge sentenced Ethan Couch to 10 years' probation for a wreck that killed four people. The ruling in Fort Worth on Wednesday was the same previously made by the judge. Prosecutors had asked the judge to sentence the 16-year-old to 20 years in state custody.
FORT WORTH, Texas — A judge on Wednesday ordered a Texas teenager who was sentenced to 10 years’ probation in a drunken-driving crash that killed four people to go to a rehabilitation facility paid for by his parents.
Wynn and prosecutor Richard Alpert would not identify the facility where Couch will go or where it is located. The teen’s family previously had offered to pay for Couch to go to a $450,000-a-year rehabilitation center near Newport Beach, Calif.
There is NO MINIMUM AMOUNT OF TIME Couch must spend in the facility before his release, prosecutor Riley Shaw said.

Texas is a tort reform state. Any damages are capped.
And when he breaks his probabtion, and we all know he will, what then? Usually when someone breaks their probation then they go back to prison to serve the remainder of their sentence. But there is no prison sentence in this case to impose. So do they send him back to rehab?

OJ, agree or disagree, was found not guilty. I've never heard of another case where a drunk kid kills four and gets off scott-free.

We've come to the point where nobody is held responsible for his actions anymore. Rather, we have an upside down world where perpetrators are the victims of non-existent "mental illnesses" invented by their defense teams. As far as I'm concerned, a spoiled brat getting away with homicide with a trumped-up defense like "affluenza" is no different from minorities using "racism" as their excuse for their anti-social behavior.

In 2004, this same judge gave another teen in a similiar case 20 years.
THAT teen didn't have wealthy parents.
This woman who calls herself a judge is flat out evil in front of the whole world and she doesn't give a damn. Somehow she's getting paid off, everyone knows she's getting paid off, and she knows everyone knows she's getting paid off - and she's doing it anyway.
