The so-called “Crimean Independence Movement” is a wholly-owned Putin asset. He’s using those Russian speakers the same way Hitler used the Sudetenland Germans. They’re like the Palestinians to the the anti-Zionist. If they didn’t exist, they’d have to be invented. Putin is a thug and a punk. He’s willing to plunge the nations of Russia and Ukraine into a war so he can be Peter the Great and Stalin all in one person.

No, Russia has their naval base and economic relationships that have been in place since Ukrainian independence.

And, the US and EU nations ALSO have had economic and political relationships with Ukraine during that whole time.

The West is trying to suck Ukraine into Western central banking and officially bring Ukraine into the EU.

Trade between Ukraine and the West has been going on for 20 years. Kraft foods has been operating in Ukraine for nearly 20 years.

The formal assimiliation into the EU is therefore not necessary for trade with the West.

The formal assimiliation into the EU would give the EU tremendous authority and power within Ukraine, just as the EU has tremendous power and authority within all the EU nations.

Well, I guess the Ukrainians are just lucky that Putin’s going to save them from being as prosperous as the EU nations. You know, you wouldn’t want them to catch up with say, Poland, or the Czech Republic. It’s better to stay benighted and governed by Putin’s proxies. That’s really the best way to go.
