LOL, There are other uses of the word “film” than whether it was shot on film.
And I believe my meaning clearly indicated the quality of the storytelling.

Film is rapid flickering of still images, you are in the dark for half the time.
It’s a different psychotropic state just like the buzzing, flickering, green casting fluorescent lights are doing weird things to people’s mental states that soft white incandescent lights were not doing.
Better mousetraps aren’t always better. GOOD music is still recovering from the wide introduction of synthesizers (drums, keyboards, etc.) in the 1970s and 80s. Yes I know they go much farther back. But the earliest moog experiments weren’t so offensive (check out what Sun Ra did with one). Even Roger Waters commented that any monkeys could dabble with a sequencer and put together something but it wouldn’t be good for music (some comment made during the recording of DSOTM while they were filming Live at Pompeii).
