The winners have accepted their statuettes at the 86th Annual Academy Awards show at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood. This is the complete list of Oscar award winners:

IMHO, half the people who watch the Oscars don’t care about the movies at all. They want to see the clothes. I get sick of being lectured by Hollywood for how evil I am because I am a white conservative. Why would I give money to anyone who is trying to destroy everything good this country stands for?
On our movie night last week we watched, “The Bachelor and the Bobby Soxer”, in tribute to Shirley Temple. So you can guess how much money Hollywood gets from MY family.
Am I the only one who doesn’t know who that is in the picture??
Matt McConaughy didn’t hide his thoughts on God in his speech. Flippin idiots on twitter are going nuts over it, there are those who respect and appreciate him giving glory to God, and there are those who are bashing him for uttering the name God.
To hear the silence when he spoke of God, showed me why I detest hollywood and what the Harvey Weinsteins of the world represent.
Watched it, what a waste of time that could have been better spent watching the dust collecting on the windowsill.
Who is this “Oscar” and why should I care?
But why am I... belching pizza?
I didn’t find Gravity to be all that good. My husband fell asleep.
Who Cares? I could give a rats A$$ about the Hollywood or the Oscars
“I absolutely refuse to watch ‘ the Oscars , I further will not spend a dime to see any of the movies that were nominated and won . Why ? Because all these worthless Hollywood pinheads ignored and boycotted acknowledgement for THE BEST MOVIE of the season : LONE SURVIVOR . To hell with them all , they don’t get my money . Period . “
Bears repeating,I do not understand so called conservatives, they continue to support the very people who are destroying our republic, I am disappointed that someone even posted this crap.
I’m with you, I can’t understand how people can get so worked up over a movie.....I hate Hollywood and most of the Obama loving leftist that infests it... I’m proud to say that I haven’t been to a movie in 20 years since I went to see Forrest Gump. I’m also proud to say that I have never even heard of most of the so-called actors and actreses that got nominations. I could care less. I wish more people would just boycott Hollywood. If it were up to me Hollywood would be a ghost town with tumbleweeds blowing down Rodeo Drive and these people would have to go out and get real jobs.
Yep, I’m happy to report I’ve never watched them. I think they may have been on the family television when I was younger because my parents had it on (that was the time in America where there was only one TV in the house, and it remained on one channel, the one that dad watched at night), but I didn’t really watch it then, either.
‘’Bears repeating,I do not understand so called conservatives, they continue to support the very people who are destroying our republic, I am disappointed that someone even posted this crap.’’
I’m with you pirate, I just don’t understand how these so called conservatives can support the liberal vermin in Hollywood. If they would just stop going to movies they would send a message that Hollywood would get loud and clear...
Glad to hear you are doing better, bro! Hang in there!
Just like liberalism leads ineluctably to totalitarianism, so does cultural degradation ineluctably draw in anyone who is not voluntarily (or involuntarily) a separatist.
I watched only because I had taken a 2 hour nap in the afternoon. Didn’t intend to but not much else was on. I thought Ellen was intentionally trying to make the time run over. Stupid stuff, the group selfie, the pizza, collecting money, she blew at least a half hour. And then joked about how long it was running. Maybe she just doesn’t want to get asked again. Jim Carey was pretty pathetic, looked like he was auditioning to be the next host. The high points were the times God was mentioned, McConahay’s speech was one of the best. Looks like I’ll see 12 Years a Slave. Was hoping Lonne Survivor would win an Oscar but no chance I guess.
Had to laugh, my wife and I had not been in a theater since 1996 (X-Files Movie). A couple of weeks ago we went to see the Lego Movie in 3-D. The cost was outrageous, but we were willing to blow off that much money on a rare “date.” Overall it was nice. The movie was loud, rather long for a story with so little substance, but the visuals were amazing. We both agreed we were glad we went, but won’t be doing it again soon unless there’s something that cries out to be seen on a big screen. We’re both usually happy to wait for DVD.
I remember sneaking looks at the Academy Awards when I was a kid—having been sent to bed about an hour in, hating having to wait so long for Best Actor. Neither of us has watched the program in our 33 years of marriage. It’s too much gushing liberalism and/or “inside baseball” to justify the investment of time.
I still consider myself a lover of the movies, I’m just adamant that I want to consume them on my terms. I love my living room and my Sony Bravia! AND our feet don’t stick to the floor.
So why did you post a thread about it?
Hi, O....
We watched TWD with a few pop overs to the Oscars during commercials. Each time, Degenerate was on - once with the Good Witch hat on her head. Later, all I could think was Bob Hope, Carson, even Crystal never had to stoop to cheap prop gimmicks to be funny (which it wasn’t). Cannot stand her either.
Ford “claims” to be an enviro nut...all the while flying his five private jets and fleet of motor vehicles around polluted LA...just another Hollywood hypocrite...
A total waste of time and energy....meh.
So you watched The Walking Dead last night too!
You only get a round of applause for mentioning God if you are of a certain color because they were down with the struggle, not a white guy from TX.
Big disappointment that “Happy” by Pharrell Williams didn’t win best song...
I challenge ANYONE to sit still while listening to my new, fave song...
Yes, I’m the one in the car, bouncing around to that song....
