I've often remarked that American political alliances are like old time professional wrestling angles, and nothing is more emblematic of that than the "gay"/moslem alliance.

Just as the "heels" (who shared the same dressing room) all claimed to be "the greatest of all time" and never seemed to get angry with each other, so homosexuality and islam share the same "dressing room" (did u see what i did there?) and get along just fine while each feuds with the conservative "babyface."

Of course, equally strange is the conservative condemnation of islamic "homophobia."
