I will say this. Farage focuses his ire on EU immigration. In my opinion, the problem with open borders isn’t EU sources of immigrants except indirectly. Every country in Europe is struggling with unlimited muslim immigration and this is what is turning Europe upside down. This is what is causing lawless enclaves and crime, no-go areas where even the police won’t go, and even attacks on free speech. Gang rapes. Film directors slaughtered in the streets and politicians who have to sleep on military bases to avoid being murdered. This isn’t happening because of Lithuanian shopkeepers.
So maybe he didn’t want to point the finger specifically at muslims but I will.
"Nice" assumes massive importance IMNVHO because women vote. Women will not vote for anyone who is not "nice." Any controversy makes them uncomfortable. They are so sensitive to "nice" that they will vote for an Obama because it is not "nice" to be critical of mixed race people. Can't we all just get along? Of course, after they voted for him, they felt "nice."
In fact, if someone, anyone tells or puts out the idea in the media to female voters that something about a candidate is not "nice," they will vote against that candidate. When a candidate uttered a harsh word about an opponent, even one who is as "un-nice" to women as Ted Kennedy was, and the ladies will invariably flock to his standard, perhaps in some weird perversion of the maternal instinct.
Issue-based electoral campaigns are history. Policies? Unimportant. How does the candidate make you feel, Madame, or Ms. ?
