Don’t they have to repent first? Maybe her New Age degree from University of Santa Monica in Spiritual Psychology says otherwise.
Yes Christians not perfect but forgiven. . .but when you blatantly leave out the true salvation message in a “blockbuster” Son of God, you have taken on an enormous responsibility to do it right.
Repent...now there’s a word we don’t see very often.
Sadly.
Roma Downey is a New Ager.
Indeed.
“Maybe her New Age degree from University of Santa Monica in Spiritual Psychology says otherwise...”
Christians watch New Age movies on Hallmark and other stations, absorb New Age philosophies on Talk Shows, exercise programs, etc.and read New Age literature from the tabloids....
Our Only hope is: “Back to the Bible.”
JOHN 8:31-32
So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; 32and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”
Absolutely. But so many don’t know Scripture. As you said they get their “philosophy” from TV. It tickles their ears.
LOl. But I really liked the Obama devil. Shame to do that actor out of work!
There’s a reason Jesus used parables.
In a nutshell. This was a Son of God movie rather than a THE Son of God movie. Not a mind changer for people of faith in false religions.
And it wasn’t to entertain His sheep.
I don’t think they intended to bring people to Christ.
The “church” has fallen away. It has forgotten its first love. Today’s “church” is about the hype, the bells & whistles. It focuses on a bloodless salvation without the remission of sins - feel good salvation.
I am thankful to attend a Spirit-filled church where truth is backed up by Scripture. But even there many bristle instead of being convicted of sin.
I attend a home church. The focus is God’s word. It has been very eye-opening.
Guess again.
“It has been very eye-opening”
My eyes were opened when I read the Bible without commentary. It is self-explanatory.
I listen to a pastor from Knoxville, TN on Sundays and Wednesdays over the internet. Finding a church with a pastor that preaches like this man is nigh impossible in the pagan northeast.
I wish Mel Gibson would make more biblical movies.
I’ll take her movie until yours comes out.
We share like the early church did. That’s not possible in a brick and mortar church. You can’t ask questions in the middle of a sermon or share thoughts. It should be interactive among the Believers. That’s the point of church. To come together in understanding the Father.
